Week 14 (November 11th to November 15th)
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11th - Veteran's Day - NO School
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12th - Students investigated the history of Veteran's Day, the meaning and significance behind the 11th month, of the 11th day, at the 11th hour.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13th - NO 7TH grade students - BLOCK schedule
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14th - Students will take a virtual tour of Philadelphia and explore the areas that relate to the Continental Congress, Declaration of Independence, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell and more.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15th - No quiz or test, however, students will complete a virtual tour map/project of Philadelphia
Week 13 (November 4th to November 8th)
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4th - Students received their new packet, "Chapter 6 Declaration of Independence," and completed page 1.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5th - Students investigated the leadership qualities of George Washington. Then students explored how Henry Knox was able to "drag" 62 tons of cannons roughly 300 miles from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6th - No 7th Grade Classes
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7th - Students will finish their notes for their "Chapter 6 Declaration of Independence" packet, then we will participate in the "Monster Game" review for Friday's test.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8th - Test on "Chapter 6 Declaration of Independence."
Week 12 (October 28th to November 1st)
MONDAY, OCTOBER 28th - Students had a "maintenance day," in which all work was returned, new work graded, students were able to check their grades and inquire with their teacher on any missing assignments.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29th - Students completed the, "Declaration of Independence Word Search," then they read the entire Declaration of Independence. After, class discussion surrounded which words were omitted from the Declaration.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30th - NO 7th Grade Students
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31st - Students created a mini booklet describing the Declaration of Independence.
Week 11 (October 21st to October 25th)
MONDAY, OCTOBER 21st - Students watched, "The Battles of Lexington and Concord," and then went "back 21 years" to the French and Indian War and started exploring how we got to the "present" of the American Revolution.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22nd - Students started reviewing the Acts/Taxes that were passed by Parliament that preceded the Revolutionary War.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23rd - NO 7th Grade Classes
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24th - Finalized review of the Acts/Taxes and then reviewed for Friday's quiz
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th - Quiz on the Acts/Taxes preceding the Revolutionary War.
Week 10 (October 14th to October 18th)
MONDAY, OCTOBER 14th - Students will review, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." Then students will complete Reading Further on pages 96-99 and then turn in their packets.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15th - Students investigated the truth of, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." They documented a map with numbers #1 through #11 describing the events of April 18th to 19th 1775.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16th - No 7th grade students
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17TH - Using their notes from Tuesday, students will create their own map of, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere."
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18TH - Quiz on Chapter 5 focusing on the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.
Week 9 (October 7th to October 11th)
MONDAY, OCTOBER 7th - Students did a complete grade check, and turned in any missing assignments

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th - Students checked their grades, turned in any missing assignments, and then students started investigating, "The Lost Colony of Roanoke."
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1ST - Students received a packet that contain the investigations of: Roanoke, Jamestown, Plymouth, and Salem.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th - No 7th Grade Students
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th - Students will complete their investigations of: Roanoke, Jamestown, Plymouth, and Salem.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th - Students will create a 1-2 page report in class choosing 1 of the 4 topics of the week and complete a conclusion to the mystery/myth/truth of the topic.
Week 7 (September 23rd to September 27th)
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd - Students checked their grades, turned in any missing assignments, and then were issued their new packet, "Chapter 4 Life in the Colonies."
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th - Students completed a placard activity within their packets. Notes are posted on Google Classroom for any students that were absent.

TUESDAY, May 14th - Students continued exploring the Independence and famous people at the Alamo including: Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and Colonel William Travis
WEDNESDAY, May 15th - Students will finish their notes for their Chapter 15 Manifest Destiney packet. Complete a group project, "The Alamo," and study for Friday's test on Manifest Destiny. Notes are posted on Google Classroom.

MONDAY, April 29th - Students completed the Geography Challenge for Chapter 15
TUESDAY, April 30th - Students chose a territory of Westward Expansion to map, and labeled the states that where part of the territory they chose.
WEDNESDAY, May 1st - Students investigated the Louisiana Purchased and started a mapping activity of the Louisiana Purchase.
THURSDAY, May 2nd - Same as Wednesday
FRIDAY, May 3rd - Students will complete their Louisiana Purchase activity map for a weekly grade (no test this week).
Week 32 (April 22nd to 26th)
MONDAY, April 22nd - Students completed a word find and explored Alexander Hamilton vs Aaron Burr
TUESDAY, April 23rd - Students investigated the "Code of Duello," and how it applied to early American History
WEDNESDAY, April 24th - Students chose a historical duel to research. They started creating a research presentation that included the causes, effects, rules, and the historical impact of the duel they chose.

FRIDAY, April 26th - Students will complete their research poster and turn it in.
Week 31 (April 15th to 19th)
MONDAY, April 15th - Students viewed "Did you know the tariff of 1828?," and "Andrew Jackson and the Bank of the U.S." Then they completed sections 5 and 6 of their Chapter 14 packet.
TUESDAY, April 16th - Students will complete a supplemental packet on Andrew Jackson. If you finish, create flashcards for your vocabulary words for Chapter 14. Remember there is a test on Chapter 14 this Friday, April 19th.
WEDNESDAY, April 17th - Students will complete their notes for Chapter 14 and then engage in review activities for Friday's test.

TUESDAY, March 12th - Students learned who Washington Irving was and his iconic stories, "Rip Van Winkle," and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
WEDNESDAY, March 13th - Students finished learning about James Fenimore Cooper, Davy Crockett, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Then they completed their notes and participated in a class review for Friday's test.

TUESDAY, February 20th - Students received their new packet, "Chapter 12 Foreign Affairs in a New Nation." Students then completed page 1 of the new packet.
WEDNESDAY, February 21st - Students completed a supplemental "Currency Money" activity in which students explored the historical figures and features on the $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills. On Friday, the quiz will test students' knowledge of U.S. currency.

TUESDAY, February 13th - Students will go to Google Classroom to watch the video, "Alexander Hamilton vs Thomas Jefferson" and then complete sections 4 & 5.
WEDNESDAY, February 14th - Students completed notes on Sections 4 through 8. Then watched a video on the cross section of the White House. Afterward, they completed the Reading Further on pages 206 to 209 and turned in their packets

MONDAY, February 5th - As a class, we reviewed and graded last week's test, and then passed out the new packet, "Chapter 11 - Political Developments."
TUESDAY, February 6th - Students completed the Geography Challenge in their weekly packet using pages 188-189 in their textbook. Then they went to Google Classroom to watch 2 videos, "The Origin of the President's Cabinet", and "The Whiskey Rebellion." Then students completed their vocabulary terms and sections 2 and 3 of their packets.
WEDNESDAY, February 7th - Students will review the Geography Challenge notes, then they will complete a geography map of the 50 United States. Afterward, students will complete a review game based on the geography and abbreviations of the 50 states.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST - Students will investigate the French and Indian War, and will complete through Section 4 of the Chapter 5 packet. Then students will start creating a poster presentation called, "The Path To The Revolution." Instructions will be thoroughly explained in class. If you miss class, please find a classmate to show you their presentation to help guide you.

Week 15 (November 28th to December 2nd)
Monday, November 28th, 2022 - Students did a grade check. Then Chapter 7 - The American Revolution packet was passed out and the Preview was completed.
Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 - Sections 2 and 3 were completed in the Chapter 7 packet. Class instruction and lecture was based on the strengths and weaknesses of The Americans and British during the Revolutionary War.
Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 - Students started working on a storybook - titled The Revolutionary War. This is an in-class activity that will be completed throughout the next 2 weeks and be completed during finals week.
Thursday, December 1st, 2022 - Same as Wednesday
Friday, December 2nd, 2022 - Quiz on the strengths and weaknesses of The Americans and British during the Revolutionary War and the 1st set of pictures used for the storybook.
Week 14 (November 14th to November 18th)
Monday, November 14th, 2022 - Students completed Section 2 of The Chapter 6 - The Declaration of Independence packet and explored the events in the Battle of Bunker Hill (Breed's Hill).
Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 - Students complete Section 3 of Chapter 6
Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 - As a class, we completed Sections 1-5 and then competed in a study review game preparing for the test on Friday.

Week 13 (November 7th to November 11th)
Monday, November 7th, 2022 - Students received their new packet, "Chapter 6 - The Declaration of Independence." Then students read the entire Declaration of Independence on Pages 650 to 653.

Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 - Honoring the birthday of the Marines (November 10th) and Veteran's Day (November 11th)

Week 12 (October 31st to November 4th)
Chapter 5 - The Thirteen Colonies Continuation
Monday, October 31st, 2022 - Section 2 and 3 and review the chart with Section 3.
Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 - Finish section 3 and complete section 4.
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 - Students will investigate the following events: Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, Battles of Lexington and Concord
Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 - Same as Wednesday
Friday, November 4th, 2022 - Students will choose one of the events from Wednesday's or Thursday's class and create a storyboard in class explaining the event they choose - the storyboard will be graded as an assessment grade.
Week 11 (October 24th to 28th)
Chapter 5 - The Thirteen Colonies
Monday, October 24th, 2022 - Students received their new packet and completed the Geography Challenge (pages 1-3 in the packet and pages 78 and 79 in their textbook).
Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 - Students checked their grades on Aeries and then as a class - the Geography Challenge was reviewed. This Friday, the quiz is based on the map questions 1- 6 on page 2 of the packet.
Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 - Students completed the Preview, Key Content Terms, and Section 2 of the packet. Then the class explored and investigated The French and Indian War.
Thursday, October 27th, 2022 - Same as Wednesday
Friday, October 29th, 2022 - Quiz on the 1st page of the Geography Challenge.
Week 10 (October 17th to 21st)
Chapter 4 - Life in the Colonies
Monday, October 17th, 2022 - NO SCHOOL - Staff Development Day
Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 - Grade Check and new packet, "Chapter 4 Life in the Colonies." Students reviewed their grades and study techniques. Then students choose groups for the weekly assignment of reenacting, "Life in the Colonies." If students are absent, they need to use their textbook to describe each section (instead of acting out the scene).
Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 - Students will create a reenactment of "Life in the Colonies." Each student in the group will act a part of the section they are assigned to.
Thursday, October 20th, 2022 - Students will create a reenactment of "Life in the Colonies." Each student in the group will act a part of the section they are assigned to.
Friday, October 21st, 2022 - Group presentations. The assessment this week is the presentation of the reenactment. Groups will be graded based on the criteria that will be set during Wednesday and Thursday's class.

Monday, October 3rd, 2022 - Students received all completed work and checked their grades on Aeries. Then, they received their new packet - Chapter 3. Finally, as a class, we explored the "Lost Colony of Roanoke."
Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 - Finish exploring, "The Lost Colony of Roanoke."
Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 - Jamestown and Plymouth worksheet, review, and exploring the truth of John Smith's relationship with Pocahontas and the truth behind the relationship between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag.

Friday, October 7th, 2022 - Quiz on matching the event with the colony. A=Roanoke, B=Jamestown, and C=Plymouth

Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 - New packet was handed out today, "European Exploration and Settlement - Chapter 2." Students completed page 1 today.
Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 - Students completed The Geography Challenge on pages 0-1 . Then a through map review was conducted.
Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 - Same as Wednesday
Friday, September 23rd, 2022 - Quiz on the Geography Challenge Map. Students will be asked to label the map without using the textbook.

Fifth Week (September 12th to 16th)
Packet 4 "The First Americans" (Chapter 1) continued
Monday, September 12th, 2022 - Students completed sections 2 & 3. Topics of instructions and discussion included: How Native Americans adapted to their environments.
Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 - Students will complete sections 4 to 11 which is a graphic organizer describing the characteristics of the various cultural regions of Native Americans living in North America.
Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 - Students will finish the graphic organizer from Tuesday's class, then complete Processing on page 6 of their packet and Reading Further on page 7. Then as a class, students will review for the test on Friday. The test on Friday will be identifying the American Indian Cultural Regions located in North America.
Thursday, September 15th, 2022 - Same as Wednesday, September 14th
Friday, September 16th, 2022 - Test on Chapter 1. The test will be identifying the American Indian Cultural Regions and characterics that are similar and unique to each region.

Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 - All assignments and tests were returned to students. Then they checked their grades and any missing assingments/tests in Aeries. Then as a class, we reviewed prior tests and good study techniques.
Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 - Students will receive the packet titled, "The First Americans," which correlates to Chapter 1 of the History Alive! Textbook. In class we completed sections 1-3

Monday, August 29, 2022 - Students received the packet titled, "U.S. Army Units and Rankings" and students took notes on the events that led to the formation of the Continental Army/United States Army.
Tuesday, August 30, 2022 - Students will complete the pyramid graphic organizers titled, "Ranking Military Officers," and "Units of the Army."
Wednesday, August 31, 2022 - Students will create epulets, insignias, and a uniform for an officer or soldier in the Revolutionary War. Then students will review for Friday's quiz on army rankings and units.

Tuesday, August 23, 2022 - Students started to create 3 maps based on cities that have sports teams in Baseball (MLB), Football (NFL), and Basketball (NBA)
Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 - Students finished their 3 maps and then created a graphic organizer displaying the cities that have 2 or more sports teams and those cities that only have 1.

Tuesday, August 16, 2022 - Students will watch a TPS procedures video. Then they will receive their textbooks. Map Components and Map Concepts. Reading a Map.
Wednesday, August 17, 2022 - Royal Castle Floor Plan, Map Scale, Latitude and Longitude, Road Map Practice. Monster Game and Kahoot for review.
Thursday, August 18, 2022 - Same as Wednesday.
Friday, August 19th, 2022 - Remember on Friday, there is a State Abbreviation Quiz. Students will be given the states' names and will have to write the abbreviation next to the name. After quiz, complete a road map to show the route from your house to school.
